Michael, Kayleen and Kathryn Carter drove to Flagstaff, AZ Friday night to attend the wedding reception recep-tion of Michael's mission companion. The weekend before be-fore Michael went to Chandler, Chand-ler, AZ to attend the wedding. Mr. and Mrs. John (Lucy) Dean of Salt Lake visited Armina Banks onWednesday. Clara Charles and children chil-dren have moved back to Henderson, NV. Sandra (Davis) Jesse of North Dakota visited Daisy Gillins on Thursday. Armina Banks accompanied accompan-ied her grandson, George, to Caliente Thursday to attend at-tend the wedding of her granddaughter, Ranae Hard-man. Hard-man. Theodore and Melva Eyre of Las Vegas are visiting at at the home of Bill and Let-tie Let-tie Gibson. They attended the wedding reception of their nephew, Kendall Eyre, Friday Fri-day night. A bride's shower in honor of Shelley Maxwell was held Monday evening at the home of Merle Gillins. It was given by bridesmaids, Sherrie Lynn Marshall and Donetta Carter. Many race horse fans attended at-tended the races in Ely on Saturday and Sunday. Goldle and Hilda Marshall, , Lee and Lynnea Marshall and family, and Hayward and Edith Marshwll and family all went to Kaysville Friday to attend the wedding of Kim Horton, daughter of Ralph and Maxine (Marshall) Bailey. Sunday was a happy day for the Minersville Ward when they moved into their new church for the first meetings to be held. It is a lovely building build-ing and we hope that it can be kept that way in the year to come . The Bishopric thanked everyone for all that they had done to -make it possible to have such a lovely building. In the first Sacrament meeting Sunday evening, the Lamond Perkes family gave the program. Lamond was the first speaker, and daughter daugh-ter Karen gave a piano solo. Anna Jean then spoke to us. A tape recording from their son Scott, who is on a' mis-" sion to Thailand, was played He sang "God Be With You" in the Thai language. The final speaker was Kenneth, who had just returned from a mission to New Zealand. The business was the advancement ad-vancement of Alan Wood to a priest. The prayers were given by Bill Gibson and Milton Albrecht. Visitors were Pres. and Mrs. Paul Nielson and Pres. and Mrs. Gail Van Tassell and their families. A group of friends of Kendall Ken-dall Eyre drove to Manti Friday to attend the temple wedding'of Kendall Eyre and Rebecca Fife. Thursday and Friday was an accident day at the Minersville Min-ersville Feed Store. Billy Davis suffered a broken finger fin-ger on Thursday and Max Carter received a badly mashed finger on Friday. They are both going around with their fingers in casts. Dalton and Merle Fails were in Jackpot, Nev. visiting visit-ing their daughter, "Dub" and Barbara McGhee and family. They also visited in Stockton, UT with Merle's sisters, Maurine Edwards and Beth Taylor, and in Orem with Mr. and Mrs. Bill Fails and family. Dalton and Merle were gone for several days. Bill Fotheringham and daughter, Lanna Lee, of Madrid, Ma-drid, Spain visited Wednes -day with Keith and Shirley Hollingshead. Robert and Rayma Strong and baby are visiting Arshal and Lela Evans. The Strongs have been living in Wenat-chee, Wenat-chee, Wn. They are moving to Denver, CO. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Potter and family of Las Vegas are visiting parents, Paul and Myrl Potter. Homer and LaRue Harris and Lorin and Lucille Goff drove to Panguitch Sunday to visit friends, Ed and Ethel Henri. Carlie Anderson and children chil-dren of McMinnville, OR are visiting her parents, Lester and Leona Roberts and Ross and Eleanore Marshall. Marie Marshall and son Glen took her father and mother mo-ther to Provo Saturday for her father to receive medical medi-cal attention. They also visited vis-ited with Kenneth Hutchings and family. They enjoyed dinner with them to celebrate cele-brate their mother's (Evelyn Hutchings) birthday. Jan Myers and boy friend Rick Howker of New Plymouth, Ply-mouth, ID visited several days with her grandmother, Nettie Myers. Nettie Myers announces the birth of a great-granddaughter born August 24 to Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Myers in Denver, CO. They also have one son, Travis.
