FD7TY-FOUR YEARS AGO May 25, 1917 There was quite a sensation in local mining circles this week. This time it was not because be-cause of a strike of rich ore, but because of a strike of the miners at the Moscow Mine for a raise of their wages. The men have been paid $3.00 and $3.50 per day and charged $1.00 per day for board. They ask for a raise to $.50 and $4.00 per day, and their de" mand is not deemed unreasonable unreason-able by mining men and merchants mer-chants who have discussed the matter. FORTY-TWO YEARS AGO May 24, 1929 In an extension, short time sale campaign for Frigidaires, put on by the Milford office of the Telluride Power Co., seven new Frigidaires were placed in Milford homes. The following are new owners of this widely known and popular style refrigeration: refrig-eration: Miford Bakery, Nels Johnson, Harry Livergood, Mrs-Homer Mrs-Homer E. Root, G. R. Wilcox, Clarence Lewis and R. W. Jones.
