Mr. and Mrs. Howard Hughes and daughter Becky and friend, from Farmington, Utah and Mrs. Thomas Hughes of Salt Lake City were visitors of Mrs. Naomi Hughes over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Alva Kirk were in Richfield last week on business busi-ness and drove a new Chevrolet Chevro-let Impala home. Mrs. Iona Baxter reports that she got a telephone call through to her daughter, Jan-elle, Jan-elle, in Reseda, Calif., where the earthquake of Tuesday morning was very severe. The brick wall around Janelle's yard fell into her neighbor's swimming pool. Other calls to the area could not get through. Mr, and Mrs. Max Baxter were in California last week to attend the wedding of their daughter, Jonelle, to Mr. Harold Har-old Smith Jr. The couple was wed in a double ring ceremony in the Chapel of the Reseda L.D.S. church with Mrs. Mit-chel Mit-chel Baxter, sister-in-law of the bride attending as Matron of Honor. A reception held in the Cultural Hall followed the ceremony. Others attending were Mr. and Mrs. Harold Smith Sr., and two daughters of Kearns, Utah, family of the bridegroom and his grandparents, grandpar-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Wiseman of Centerville, Utah. The newly-weds newly-weds are spending their honeymoon honey-moon in San Francisco, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Brox and children, Kevin, Kimmy and Leann and Wayne Mecham were in Cedar City for a birthday birth-day dinner for Mrs. Brox last Saturday. The group spent the evening bowling. Mrs. A. T. Miller is in Salt Lake City visiting with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Miller. She will return re-turn during the week. Little Lisa Briggs is in Logan L. D. S. Hospital where she is having her tonsils removed. She is accompanied by her mother, Mrs James Briggs. They will return to their home Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Eversole (Vanda) and three children of Las Vegas were here over the weekend visiting Vanda's parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred O'Leary. Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Miller of Salt Lake were here for a three day visit withi Mrs. Miller's Mil-ler's sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Billiston. Rev. and Mrs. Sloan were in Denver last week attending the Iliff School Lectures and a special session of the annual conference. They returned on Saturday evening.
