Show Marion Walker says he's got tickets to the Cotton Bowl to see Texas tackle Notre Dame, free transportation down there and a place to stay after he gets there. He's also got vacation time coming that he can take, but can't make up his mind whether to go or not. Some decision, huh! Actually Marion should go and come back and report to us, because if TV continues in the same vein its been the last few weekends and holidays, we sure won't know the score or who won. o Actually it seems that the only days the maintenance men have to work on the antennas, and equipment up on the east hills is on Sundays and holidays.- It just so happens that, those are the only days I get to watch TV. It's bad enough not to be able to keep up with the ball games, but, I can't even keep up with what station is on now! But a word to the wise to the City Fathers, TV Committee Commit-tee Roy, Rulon and company, "The natives are threatening to start signing their names to the letter to the editor, you better leave well enough alone on Christmas and New Years or they are liable to come knocking knock-ing at the door of city hall." Seriously though, that does seem to me to be the poorest time of the week to foul things up. What about it fellas? The Beaver Press of Beaver City made some pretty rash statements this past week, and we feel that we must make some attempt to set the record straight to protect the innocent. The fact is that: Lincoln Land and Development Company never approached the city council, coun-cil, Milford Industrial Foundation Founda-tion or any other organization or individual in Milford. The Mayor and or city coun- cil did not make any recommendation, recom-mendation, adopt any resolution or in any other official capacity speak on the zoning issue involving in-volving Lincoln Land and De-. De-. velopment Co., nor did they or the Mayor make any statement concerning this zoning during the public hearing on Dec. 4th. The Milford Industrial Foundation Foun-dation at its October meeting, did adopt a resolution, that they approved of the rezoning for commercial development, the approaches to the freeway at the north and south entrances entranc-es to Beaver City. (Note must be made here, that though this letter was received it had never been read to the commissioners.) commission-ers.) If a reporter can get this far off base on notes written two days hence, how far off is he, whn quoting from notes of a year and two years hence? o Don't forget Saturday, December 19 is the last day you can t3ke advantage of the special gift subscription offer at the Beaver County News. Elwood Jefferson is about to bust his buttons over the three day holiday planned by the local merchants both Christmas and New Years. Elwood says it's the first time in the history of Jefferson's store that they have been closed for three days. You better stock the larder a little heavier. You can't eat left overs all weekend. o This High School Wrestling is something else The individual indi-vidual effort is magnificent and the momentum of one catches on with another until the whole team performs with its greatest effort.
