Mr. Gardner has been associated asso-ciated with the power industry since 1952, initially as assistant sales manager for the Telluride Power Co. and subsequently as sales manager for the Telluride Tellu-ride Division of UP&L after the Telluride Company was absorbed ab-sorbed iby UP&L. Active in civic affairs, Mr. Gardner has been chairman of the Sevier County Indus'trial Committee since 1969; past chairman of the Sevier County Heart Fund; past member of the Richfield Kiwanis and Lions Clubs; past committeeman committee-man for Richfield City Centennial Cen-tennial Anniversary. He is a native of Provo and attended Delta High School Dixie Junior College, Utah State University, and the University Uni-versity of Utah. He and his wife Irene are the parents of five children, and reside in Richfield. Jay F. Gardner JAY GARDNER IS NEW TELLURIDE DISTRICT MANAGER Jay F. Gardner, sales manager man-ager of Utah Power & Light Co.'s Telluride Division, today was named manager of the division, di-vision, effective Feb. 26. He succeeds Clair J. Hadley, who has been advanced to manager of the company's Southern Division, headquartered headquar-tered at American Fork. The appointments were announced an-nounced by James C. Taylor, UP&L vice president, who said that Mr. Gardner will direct the company's operations thru-out thru-out the division in west-cen- |
