Olsen and Mrs. Ray L. Olsen and consist of weaving baskets, quilting, making mak-ing earrings and corsages. All ladies of the ward are invited. Misses JoAnn Anderson, Shar-lene Shar-lene Foster, Maxine Garrett, Renna Joy Coleman, Peggy Peterson, Pe-terson, Jackie Ball, Joan Cow-dell, Cow-dell, Joyce DeCol and Bobbie Lee Johnson. Lovely refreshments refresh-ments were served. Mrs. Maxie Johnson, president of the Copperton school P-TA, announced that the spring tea will be held Friday, May 7, at the grade school. New officers will be installed. Please keep this date in mind. Mr. and Mrs. William Rager and John. Vernlo arrived last Friday morning from Las Vegas, Nev., to attend the Aria Olsen and Edward M. Beck wedding and visit their parents, the Albert Al-bert Cheevtrs of Copperton and the W. E. Ragers of Lark. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Peterson and family entertained at their home in Salt Lake City Saturday Satur-day for Mr. and Mrs. Albert Cheever of Copperton, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Cheever and family of Roy, Mr. and Mrs. William Rager and John Vernlo of Las Vegas, Nev. Afterwards all attended the show. "Pennant Winners Picked!" Baseball fans! '54 forecast The results of a nation-wide poll, with 26 of America's top baseball writers taking a team-by-team look at the upcoming pennant races. They predict the order of finish in both major leagues. It's coming Sunday in The American Ameri-can Weekly, that great magazine distributed with the Los Angeles Examiner. Thursday each child starting school next year was invited a-long a-long with their parents to spend the day in school. Later the P-TA P-TA served refreshments to 50. Those serving were Mrs. Ruth Goff, Mrs. Teresa Pazell and Mrs. Viola Milner. Visitors at the J. W. Johnson home last Thursday evening were Mr. and Mrs. Hyman Smer-noff Smer-noff and daughter Linda, and Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Long and daughters, Linda and Claudia. Bobbie Lee was presented lovely birthday cakes and presents from each family for her 15th birthday. Fifteen members of the Copperton Cop-perton Primary Association attended at-tended conference at the LDS tabernacle on the temple grounds in Salt Lake City last Saturday. They were Norma Nichols, Ber-nice Ber-nice Foster, Delana Long, Ruby Knudsen, Bessie Dahlstrom, Jeri Doman, Ada Curtis, Rosa Scrog-gin, Scrog-gin, Evelyn Rawlings, Dott Sutherland, Suth-erland, Betty Winn, Edith Gar-iett, Gar-iett, Ethel Lancaster, Irene Throckmorton and Melba Hark- Mr. and Mrs. Melvin E, Olsen visited Sunday in Salt Lake City with Mr. and Mrs. Walter Williams. Wil-liams. Mr. and Mrs. George Bolman entertained their night bridge club Monday evening. A lovely dessert was served to Mr. and Mrs. George B. Robbe, Mr. and Mrs. S. E. Fernley, Mr. and Mrs. L. F. Pett of Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. M. A. Cotter and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kemp of Midvale, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Shilling and Mr. and Mrs. Rex T. Tripp. Prizes Priz-es were won by Mr. and Mrs. Tripp and bingo by Mrs. Kemp. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Grant were dinner guests of their daughter dau-ghter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Anderson and children, Eddie, Claudia and Kathy of American Fork Sunday. Copperton P-TA would like to thank the following ladies for driving their cars Friday, April 2, to take the children to receive their shots at the clinic being held at the Civic Center: Mrs. Lucille Hansen, Mrs. Jean Kan-niainen, Kan-niainen, Mrs. Ruby Crellin, Mrs. Melba Harkcr, Mrs. Norrene Smernoff, Mrs. Ruth Goff and Principal Dora McDonald. A big family dinner was given by Mr. and Mrs. Albert Cheever at their home Sunday. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Jay Cheever and children of Roy, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Peterson and family of Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Rager and son Clare, and Fred Peterson of Lark, Mr. and Mrs. William Rager, Roslyn Hansen Han-sen and John Vernlo. Mr. and Mrs. Elvin Armitstead left last Friday morning for a week's vacation. Wednesday dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. David O. Stoker were Mr. and Mrs. Reynolds Baxter and daughter, Betty, and two nieces of Le-Grand, Le-Grand, Ore. Among the out of town guests er. After the conference session everyone enjoyed dinner in the Pioneer room at Harmon's cafe in Sugarhouse. Norma Nichols, Delana Long, Ada Curtis and Dott Sutherland returned after dinner to the reception re-ception held at the Institute of Religion at University of Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Long and daughters had as dinner guests lecently Mr. and Mrs. Glen Long. It was a belated dinner party celebrating Mrs. Glen Long's birthday anniversary as she was in Oakland visiting with her daughter on her birthdate. A meeting of P-TA officers was held in the faculty room on Wednesday, April 7th. Those attending at-tending were Principal T. 11. McMullin, President Mrs. Charlotte Char-lotte Murano and incoming officers, of-ficers, Mrs. Nona Carrigan, Mrs. Jo Coffey, Mrs. Agnes Milner, Mrs. Betty Gillam, Mrs. Maxie Johnson and Mrs. Lucille Bian-chi. Bian-chi. Martha Circle met Wednesday, April 7, as guests of Mrs. Helen Watson. A lovely one o'clock luncheon was served to seventeen. seven-teen.
