En route home she will spend a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Sammy Johnson and children in Bountiful. Mr. and Mrs. Othello Smith of Whittier, Cal., and Mr. and Mrs. Chester Cusick of Arcadia, Cal., will visit Mrs. Inez Car ter. O A farewell party was given in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Gillins and Mr. and Mrs. William Wil-liam Bradshaw, Saturday evening eve-ning at the Beaver County recreation area by members of thet Minersville Quorum of Elders. El-ders. The two couples are leaving for Oregon to operate a dairy farm. Bill and Lettie Gibson have been in Montebello, Cal., where Mr. Gibson received medical treatment. O Mrs. owen ryor has been leleased from the Milford Vail ley Hospital where she was under observation. S A birthday garden party was given in honor of Julie Carter, 11, and Frances Marshall, 12. After the party the girls slept on the lawn at the home of Frances' 'parents, Mr. and Mrs. Vance Marshall. Debbie Gillins spent her vacation va-cation with a friend. Gloria Marshall, in Atw ater, Cal. The two laies are now in Minersville Miners-ville Gloria at the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Marshall, and Debby with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Gillins. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Charles and family of Henderson, Nev., and Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Wood enjoyed a trip to Kearns where they visited Mr. and Mrs. Grant Wood. Mrs. Helen Larsen and daughter MariLou of Tucson, Ariz., joined her sons Mark and Scott Sunday at the home of her mother, Mrs. Amanda Nol-der. Nol-der. The Larsens will spend a week in Minersville. A bridal shower was given in honor of Miss Peggy Davis at the home of Carolyn Marshall. Mar-shall. Other hostesses were Misses Becky Rita and Kathleen Kath-leen Davis, Mrs. Danean Bridge, Miss Lois Evans and Mrs. Jetta Larsen. Joe and Lois Pearson of Las Vegas spent several days visiting her mother, Mrs. Inez Carter. O Ralph and Marilyn Walbeck and daughter of Salt Lake are visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Williams. Margaret Carter spent a few days in Hawaii with her husband hus-band Neil, when he was granted grant-ed R and R from his military duties in Vietnam. Heber Gillins of Las Vegas was here for several days, and on returning home took his daughter Karen and her friend Wendy Gillins to Las Vegas. The Minersville LDS M-Men won the softball tournament and will play this week end in a tourney at St. George. Harry Thompson has been released from the Milford Valley Val-ley Hospital after undergoing major surgery. |
