Show KENNETH ORTON KILLED IN AUTO ROLLOVER ON U-21 Kenneth Charles Orton, 22, was killed at 10:15 p. m. last Thursday when the car he was driving failed to negotiate a curve at the Minersville Dam 12 miles west of Beaver, and rolled over 5l2 times. Mr. Orton, an employe of Kennecott Copper at Ely, was visiting his home at Greenville during the copper strike. He was alone in the car when it left . the highway in a "high speed rollover," according to State Highway Patrolman Joe Benson, who investigated. Mr. Orton was driving on a new stretch of highway. Kenneth Charles Orton was born Jan. 6, 1945, in Burley, Idaho, to Kenneth Charles and Clara Margaret Walters Orton. He married LaRae Marshall Jan. 29, 1966, in Ely. He was a member of the LDS Church, and the Utah National Na-tional Guard. Surviing are his widow; a son, Troy Kenneth; his mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. Roy D. Barton, Greenville; two brothers and two half-sisters, Bob and Lynn Orton; Peggy and Danna-Kay Barton. Funeral services were conducted con-ducted Monday in the Beaver First-Third Ward Chapel. |
