EDNA BAKER NOTES 80TH ANNIVERSARY Mrs. Edna Baker observed, her 80th birth anniversary last Friday, and here for the occasion occa-sion were Ray and Ellen Baker of Salt Lake; Helen and Jack Wilson of Green River, Wyo.; Mrs. Effie Marshall, Miners-ville; Miners-ville; William and Lola Hut-chings,' Hut-chings,' Beaver, and Mrs. Marie Rollins of Milford. Edna Hutchings Baker was born July 21, 1887, in Beaver, to William Willard and Sarah Agnes LeBaron Hirtchings. She married William Jesse Baker, June 15, 1914, in Beaver. The couple first came to Milford in October, 1920, and smce have lived in South Milford Mil-ford and Minersville. In 1957 they returned to Milford and have lived here since. Mrs. Baker attended the Beaver schools and the Mur-dock Mur-dock Academy. As a girl she worked in the Jimmie Rollins, store in Minersville. She is an active member of the LDS Church, has served as first counselor in the Relief Society, Relief Society teacher end Primary teacher. She was a charter member of the Milford Mil-ford Daughters of Utah Pioneers, Pio-neers, is a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and has served as president .secretary .secre-tary and chaplain of that organization. or-ganization. She is a Gold Star Mother. Mr. and Mrs. Baker wera parents of five children. One son, William Othello. was killed while on active duty in World War II. Their other children are Lee Hutchings Baker, Salt Lake; Ray Baker, Escondido, Calif.; Mrs. Helen Wilson, California, and Alfred Glenn Baker, of Green River, Wyo. They also have 22 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. . |
