Show The beards are looking better than ever, and surprisingly they evidently make some of the old timers lcok even younger than ever. I walked into a restaurant res-taurant in Provo last Wednesday evening and sat down a couple of stools from a long-haired individual in-dividual who obviously thought I was one of the boys, and became be-came quite friendly in his manner man-ner that is until my wife came and sit down next to me. 6 But it was enough to put me on the lookout and throughout, the weekend in the north we found that the ' young people were especially outgoing with winks and smiles from young ladies young enough to be my daughters, I may keep this goatee. goa-tee. o I was getting out of my car the other day in front of the shop when someone drove by in a truck and said "Look! There goes a Leprechaun!" Since that first time its caught on and no matter where I go it always comes back even in the remote areas of the state where the news does not travel that fast, on the haberdashery of ye 'ol Ed. The Centennial dress, beards and other paraphernalia are a good sign that the people and citizens of the area are to2ginning to become a part of Milford's Centennial They have decided as the News stated some weeks ago that "George Is Dead!" o It is gratifying to see an idea, whether it is your own or someone some-one else's, catch on and grow to become a reality and move the people to join together for the benefit of all. This has happened hap-pened with the Centennial and for those of us who have been working over a year it is a good thing to see but there is still much to be done if the Centennial is a success. This last month and a half will require more participation than ever. It will be the proof of the pudding and success or failure depends on everyone man, woman or child taking part . Remember, "George Is Dead!" Do your share to make this year the best one in all of Milford's 100! -Received a picture post card of the Floating Market in Thail- -land from Sam and Erma Cline who are. touring the . far east countries. Erma reports the trip to date as being intensely interesting, inter-esting, next stop Singapore. The card was postmarked in Bangkok. |
