Mrs. Virginia Davis returned to Mil-ford Mil-ford with Mrs. Lewis to take care of business matters. was accompanied as far as Idaho by Mrs. Cox Sr., who will visit relatives in Pocatello and Idaho Falls. James and Dain Cox and son Kevin of Modena were in Milford last week end at the home of parents Mr. and Mrs. William Cox and Mr. and Mrs. Usher Wilcock. O Veda Cox and Judy Wilcock, Wil-cock, who are employed at Bryce Canyon Lodge, were in Milford Tuesday. A Friends of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Briscoe, Mr. and Mrs. Don Burnette of Burbank, Calif., were week end visitors in Milford. Mil-ford. The couple had stopped here en route to a vacation in Omaha, Nebr., and were on their way back to Burbank. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hol-lis Hol-lis have returned to Milford after a six week vacation, calling on children and sightseeing. sight-seeing. In Alderwood Manor, Wash., they were guests of Jack and Aflon Bockwaldt; they enjoyed en-joyed fishing and attending the World's Fair, and Afton and family accompanied her parents par-ents on the rest of the trip. In Los Angeles they visited Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bingham, and at La Mirada were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Delos Hollis. En route home they stopped r.t Las Vegas to call on Mr. and Mrs. Neil Hollis. Mrs. Bockwaldt and children will visit here for a while before returning to their home. 9 Mrs. LaPrele Lewis has returned re-turned to Milford after spending spend-ing a month in Salt Lake. She helped the Bill Davises get settled set-tled in their new home and also called on the following chidlren and their families: Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lewis, Mr. and Mrs. Stan Lewis, and Mr. and THIS AND THAT . . . WITH PAT O Mr. and Mrs. Farrell Murie have purchased the house owned by James E. Price and formerly occupied by Mr. and and Mrs. A. A. Brinkman. With the Joseph R. Murdock Mur-dock family Mr. and Mrs. Robert Murdock and son Robert Rob-ert and daughter Debbie of New Jersey, Gordon Murdock arc' children Rodney and Jodie of Phoenix, Ariz.; David and Richard Murdock children of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Murdock of Orem, were all guests of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Murdock. The group plan to attend the wedding wed-ding of the Murdock granddaughter grand-daughter Janet, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fife Ogburn in Uba City, Calif.; after which the family plans a family reunion re-union at Lake Tahoe. O Mrs. David Pullem and two sons of Pueblo, Colo, arrived in Milford to remain until after the birth of another child. A 4 lb. 12 oz. premature little girl was born in the Beaver County Hospital July 19. The little ong is now at the Pullems home remaining re-maining for several days after the mother was discharged. Mrs. Pullem and family will leave for their home when the baby is able to travel. 0 C. W. and Ruth McWhorter and two daughters of Denver, Colo.; and Martha Robinson daughter of Mr. and Mrs. El-vie El-vie Robinson of Salt Lake City, were here for a few days at tip home of Mrs. McWhorter's father and the girls grandfather, grandfa-ther, Milton Pool. 0 Milford Mason's and The Eastern Stars held their annual an-nual summer picnic last Sunday Sun-day at the H. G. Barnes residence. resi-dence. 0 Mr. and Mrs. Ben Briscoe had a pleasant trip to Idaho. They stopped at the home of a daughter and family Mr. and Mrs. Bob Baker in Cambridge. There they called on the John Stahl family. In Council they were guests of a son Mr. and Mrs. Karl Brisco. They attended attend-ed the Cattlemen's Association Jamboree and enjoyed listening to the Idaho Fiddler's at Mc-Call. Mc-Call. Other stops were made ;n Ontario, Oreg.; where they called on Mr. and Mrs. William White and Mr. and Mrs. Joe White and Louise Sly in Halfway, Half-way, Oreg. Mrs. Karl Brisco returned to Milford to stay for awhile with parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rex Marshall and the Brisco's. 0 Mr. and Mrs. Willis Rogers and daughter Nona of Las Vegas, Veg-as, Nev.; are in Milford calling on Mrs. Rogers brothers and their families, Mr. and Mrs. Clair Gillins in South Milford, Mr. and Mrs. Mack Gillins, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Gillins and sister sis-ter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Bingham. A Visiting in Milford is Helen Wellington of Orem, house guests of her father Doug Fotheringham and brother and wife Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Fotheringham. e Mrs. David Reere and Mrs. Sheldon Albrecht attended the wedding reception of Mrs. Reeses niece, Miss Connie Lund daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Lund of Salt Lake City. The bridegroom is Mr. Lynn Ray Larsen son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Larsen. The marriage mar-riage took place in the Salt Lake Temple July 27. 9 Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Munk are living in the rental home of Dick Thompson formerly occupied oc-cupied by Mr. and Mrs. Charles Atkin. Mr. and Mrs. A. L. McDonald McDon-ald are on vacation. 0 Mr. and Mrs. George Rich and family are now living in Bsaver. They recently pur-chaseed pur-chaseed the Beaver Press from Mr. and Mrs. Steve Williams. They sold their Milford home to Mr. and Mrs. Joe Marshall. 0 Mrs. Blair Coon and children of La Mirada, Calif, stopped in Milford enroute to La Grande, Oreg. where they visited vis-ited with Mrs Coon's stepfather step-father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Elvin Saling. On their return re-turn home they again stopped in Milford at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Kimmel Coon. A son Kim will remain in Milford with his grandparents for a few1 weeks and Mrs. Coon has now returned to her California Califor-nia home. S Robert Allen son of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Allen was in Milford Mil-ford for two days last week end. Robert is serving in the U. S. Army and has been sta- tioned at a Camp Monmouth, N. J. and was transferred to an Albuquerque, N. M. camp to attend a special Electronic school. Mrs. Allen accompanied her son as far as Salt Lake City when he returned to his base. O Mrs. Ernest McDowell of Los Angeles came to Milford for a visit with her father, E. G. Walker, and son in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Lamar Morris, and to take Mr. Walker Walk-er back to Los Angeles for a short stay; while here she became be-came ill and was admitted to the Beaver County Hospital-for Hospital-for minor surgery. 0 Mrs. Leola (Fotheringham) Dunham of Hollywood, Cal., is here with her sister, Mrs. Arbi-teen Arbi-teen Davis. A sister in law of the two ladies, Mrs. Ora Fotheringham of Minersvillc, spent several days here and the three ladies enjoyed calling on relatives and friends in Minersville. t Mrs. Edna Lamb of Riverside, River-side, Calif., is in Milford for an indefinite stay with her son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Nor-man Lamb. O Mr. and Mrs. Ben Cooper and daughter Ana Rae left Tuesday morning for the Eastern East-ern States. They plan to spend a few days with Mrs. Cooper's brother, Leland Thompson, in Chicago, and take in the sights of the area; also they hope to see a major league ball game and to visit Washington, D. C. H Mrs. William W. Cox and three children of Portland, Oergon, have been in Milford, guests of her husband's parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. William Cox. On her return home she a Visiting the past week at the Clyde Griffiths and Ross Pattersons Pat-tersons home were Mr. and Mrs. La Vern Graham and daughter Terre of Sacramento, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose Patterson of Gross Valley, Calif.; and Mr. and Mrs. Leo Patterson and 4 children of Orem, Utah. 0 Elaine Patterson daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Griffiths, and Vicki Ogden daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Ogden are in Logan for a week attending the American Red Cross training train-ing center at the Utah State University. |
