Show Roily Bacon Writes From Boys State Dear Steve: I suppose you are looking forward to a response from one of us boys. With this in mind, among many other major ma-jor things, I'm taking time out (let The put in the right phrasing: 'Squeezing time in") Let me explain as you are probably well aware, our time is quite well managed!! Right from our most pleasant and comfortable trip up on the train which was prized highly from the rest of the guys to this hour of 11:05 Sunday night, has been fully packed full of fun; plenty of food and most of all a number of magnificent mag-nificent talks by your fellow Legionnaires and our great leaders here at Boys State. Not wishing to take up too much of your time, for I know you are very busy with your work, I do wish to report on the success and good spirits of the other delegates along with myself, who are thankful for this opportunity you and our fellow citizens have laid at our disposal. First of all I would like to report from Dunn County, Mc-Shane Mc-Shane City, of which I am an honorary member. Roily Bacon Ba-con (Nationalist Party) nominated nomi-nated and running on the primary for the office of City Judge, and on the county level running for the office of sheriff. sher-iff. The only other candidtae I know of (from Milford) is Hal Edwards, Lee County, for the office of City Auditor in the primary. In closing I would like to take this opportunity to give my humble thanks to the Mil-ford Mil-ford American Legion and to those who in any way helped sponsor my trip to Boys' State. In simple words, I will try to put over what it means to me. It's out of this world. So far out it's unbelievable. It's Just GREAT!! Thanks. ROLLY BACON. |
