CITY FIRE LOSS FIGURES GIVEN FOR LAST YEAR 'Die Bingham Volunteer Kire Department answered a total of 25 calls last year, of which 20 were city calls and five were in the county, according to the annual an-nual hre report compiled and submitted by Chief John J. Creedon. Total damage for the year duo to fire was listed at $540.00. The report revealed that last year began and ended with a fire alarm. The fire at Box 138 Highland High-land Boy in the early morning hours on December 21 claimed the life of Santo DaRonche. Causes of fires were listed as: sparks on wooden shingle roof, 5; iiutos on fire, 3; overheated stove, 2; defective flue, 2; smoke alarms, 2; roast of meat on fire, 2; grass, 2; unknown, 2; defective defec-tive wiring. 1; cigarettes, 1; short on pole, 1; kids and matches, 2. |
