Show TIGERS 'COME FROM BEHIND' FOR WIN OVER PAROWAN Milford's Fighting Tigers arc still in the race for a State Tourney Tour-ney berth, after defeating the Parowan Rams 50-43 last Fridaj night. But three minutes before the game was over, it looked like the Rams might win their first league game and drop Milford into a tie with the cellar-dwellers. The determined Milford five proved to local fans and the Parowan Paro-wan bench that they can come from behind and that they never give up till the last whistle has blown. With 5:26 left, they tied the score at 38-38, then after Bobby Cartwright fouled Dalton, Clark sank it to put the Tigers out in front for the first time since the opening bucket. Clark missed his second shot, and the teams struggled strug-gled for two minutes and seven seconds without another score. During a time out, Dalton left the court for a swig at the water fountain without gaining permission per-mission of the ref, and Mortensen tied it up for the Rams at 39-alL Then Cartwright sank one from , the corner, and the Tigers were I behind again. Wadsworth tipped one in for a 41-41 tie, then Mel ; added two more on a long down-court down-court pass from Dalton, and that seemed to take the push out of the Rams. Briscoe passed to Berger for a basket after taking the ball down court and the defenders de-fenders with him, and Berger added a point on his 2-and-l, Larry Rowley sank a long one for the Rams final tally, and Cartwright Cart-wright mised a foul throw with six seconds left. The victory was particularly thrilling for the Tiger fans, since the hometowners had trailed thruout the game. And each of Coach Rowley's casaba artists deserves de-serves a full measure of plaudits for their spunk, their determination determina-tion and their ability. Friday the second round of league play starts, with Milford entertaining Millard; Parowan journeying to Delta, and Beaver drawing a bye.
