Show GREENWOOD CAMP MEETS Greenwood Camp, Daughters of Utah Pioneers, met July 12 at the home of Mrs. Hilma Sly, Captain Irene Green conducting the meeting. meet-ing. Roll call showed eight members mem-bers were present, also three guests, and all joined in saluting the flag. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and accepted, a trumpet solo was played by Stan Atkin, and a letter from the Central Camp was read and some camp business was transacted. A committee to nominate a list of new officers for the 1960-61 camp year, to be installed at the August meeting, was appointed, consisting of Zona Myers, Jane Gale, and Caroline Smith. The history of Shepherd Pierce Hutchings, brother of Wm. Richard Rich-ard Hutchings sr., was read by Lola Hutchings. Some articles from the Washington Co. History were read by Zelma Muir, and the lesson, from the December 1959 number of Utah Pioneers, was given by Caroline Smith. Refreshments were served by the committee, composed of Zona Myers,1 Jane Gale and Caroline Smith. |
