Show Betty Wood, Ernest McDowell Married At Minersville AT A LOVELY HOME WED-diug WED-diug performed Friday evening by Bishop Marshall Hollingshead of iUinersville, Miss Betty Wood, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Wood, became the bride of Don McDowell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest McDowell of Milford. The lovely bride, who wore a floor-length bridal gown featuring three-quarter-length sleeves, side tiers of net ruffles, with a lace panel at the front, carried a bouquet bou-quet of pink and white carnations. Her bridal veil was caught at the crown with a tiny cap of seed pearls. Her attendants were attired in pastel formals and carried nosegays nose-gays of carnations. Mrs. Wood and Mrs. McDowell wore corsages of baby carnations. Maid of honor was Jane Fillmore and bridesmaids brides-maids were Bonnie Bradshaw, Joan Murdock, and Alice Adams. Best man duties were performed by Mike Fisher and ushers were Elmer El-mer Barnes. Scott Pearson, and Goldie Adams. Light refreshments were served following the ceremony. The beautiful four-layer wedding cake was made by the bride's mother moth-er and decorated by her aunt, Mrs. Alvaretta Robinson. A reception honoring the pretty bride and her bridegroom followed that evening in the Minersville LDS reception hall. Mrs. June Pearson was in charge of the program, pro-gram, which was as follows: Opening Open-ing prayer, Clarence Corbridge; vocal solo, "My Hero," Mrs. Alvaretta Alva-retta Robinson, accompanied by Mrs. Elinor Marshall; vocal solo, "The Loveliest Night of the Year," Jane Fillmore, accompanied by Howard Low; piano selections, Mrs. Vicky Fotheringham of Milford; Mil-ford; dance, Janet Marshall, Rebecca Re-becca Baker, and Janet Eyre; vocal duet, "When?" and encore, "Bye- i bye, Love," David Pryor and Gerald Ger-ald Myers, accompanied by Larry Hollingshead; solo, "Just Married," and yodeling, Clyde Evans, who accompanied himself on the guitar; and closing prayer, Merrill Jameson. Jame-son. The remainder of the evening was enjoyed in dancing. The happy couple, who will make their home at Zane, near Lund, received re-ceived many lovely gifts. |
