Show Beaver Pilot District, S C S, Reviews Work The annual Pilot District meeting meet-ing of the Beaver Soil Conservation Conserva-tion District was held in Beaver on Monday, March 9. Representatives Representa-tives from all agencies working with the Pilot District were present, pres-ent, from Beaver, Richfield, Castle Dale, Fillmore and Salt Lake. The meeting was conducted by Clarence Clar-ence Rollins, chairman of the Beaver Bea-ver District. Reports of work done in 1958 and work planned for 1959 were made by: Nile Humphries, Fillmore, for the Bureau of Land Management; Grant Seamon, Beaver, Forest Service; Grant Esplin, Beaver, Extension Ex-tension Service; Earl Sparks, Salt Lake, Fish and Game Commission; Ken Williams, Beaver, S C S; ! Elaine Blackett, Beaver, FHA; Bob Nowers, Beaver County ASC, Mark Crystal, Salt Lake, State i Land Board; Adria Alstram, Ka. I nosh, U S Fish and Wildlife. . j During the afternoon committees commit-tees studies Pilot District programs pro-grams and mado recommendations for 1959 activities. Work accomplished by the district, dis-trict, includes: Range land cleared and seeded Forest Service, 4550 acres programmed, 1300 acres completed; B L M, 20,916 acres programmed, 6881 acres completed; complet-ed; state and private land, 9290 acres programmed, 1047 acres completed. Fencing Forest Service, 42 miles programmed, 3 completed; BLM, 89.7 miles programmed, I 20.25 completed. Pipe line: BLM, 26,220 feet programmed, 19,536 completed. Land Leveling: 54S6 acres programmed, 559 completed. |
