Show Joseph Leslie Smith Joseph Leslie Smith, 68, of Sandy, died Friday at 6:45 a. m. in a Salt Lake City hospital of a pulmonary embolism. Born Aug. 18, 1889, in Beaver to Joseph Anthony and Amelia Swindlehurst Smith, he married Amy Howard, May 29, 1945, at Salt Lake Temple Church of the Latter Day Saints. High Priest Sandy Fourth LDS Ward officiated. offici-ated. ' Mr. Smith was a retired railroad rail-road engineer. His survivors include in-clude the widow; two sons, John A. of Salt Lake City and Robert Leland of Sandy; a daughter, Mrs. Albert R. (Mildred) Williams, Wil-liams, also of Sandy; five grandchildren; grand-children; two brothers, Grant E. of Phoenx, Ariz, and Frank of Beaver; a sister, Mrs. Lawrence (Effie) White, also of Beaver. Funeral services were held Monday at 1:30 p. m. in Sandy First Fourth LDS ward. Burial was in Salt Lake City Cemetery Relatives attending the funeral funer-al included Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Laur-ence White, Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Wen-dell White Mr. and Mrs. Melvin White, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Smith and daughter Marica, Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Phil Lund of Mil-ford. |
