Show ' Elmer Roberts Funeral services were conducted con-ducted Saturday afternoon in Ihe Beaver Second Ward Chap-1 Chap-1 for Elmer George Roberts, 50, who died Sept. 25 from complij.-ritons following pneumonia. pneu-monia. The prayer t the home, preceding pre-ceding the services, was offered by Ira L. Yardley. ' Bishop Chase Murdock was in charge of the services. .Prelude and postlude music were played by Mae White. The invocation was offered by Earl Baldwin, and the benediction bene-diction by Allen C. Reynolds. Musical numberes were by a male quartet, Kent Morgan, Sherman Carter, Hal Lund and Milo Baker, accompanied by Clara Carter; a duet by Esta Cox and Anona Swindlehurst, and a solo by Vilda Smith. Speakers were Frank Griffiths, Grif-fiths, Albert T. Smith, and A. Carlos Murdock. Dean Roberts of Layton dedicated dedi-cated the grave in Mountain View Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ray Cartwright, Adrian Baldwin of Cedar City, Warren Huntington of Salt Lake, Vance Roberts and Wayne Roberts of Milford, and Frank English of Copperton. Elmer George Roberts waa born Aug. 14, 1907, in Minersville, Miners-ville, a son of William and Lil-lie Lil-lie Corbridge Roberts. On Feb. 14, 1935, he married Louise Huntington at Cedar City. The marriage was later solemnized in the St. George Temple. He v.-as a. member ofthe L D S Church, and had bee; a'hiem-ber a'hiem-ber of the Elders Quorum.'- At the time of his death he was a High Priest. Surviving are his widow two sons, Gary and Ronnie; a grandson; brothers Henry, Lester and Leslie, and sisters Mrs. Lola English, Mrs. Retta Griffiths, Mrs. Leila Fisher l and Mrs. Josephine Thomas. |
