Show BEAVER Personal Mention . Wallace D. Yardley was in Salt Lake Friday and Saturday on business. Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Gillies, Mrs. Stan Oakden, Mrs. Robert B. White were Cedar City visitors visit-ors Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Art Wade of Fillmore spent several days in Beaver with their son in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Lessing, and sisters, Mrs. Nell Hutchnigs and Mrs. Amy Brink-erhoff. Brink-erhoff. They were en route home after spending a month in Northern California. Stanley Puffer underwent surgery Feb. 12 at the Veterans Hospital in Salt Lake. He is reported re-ported to be recuperating satisfactorily. satis-factorily. Clark Prince Sr. has been confined con-fined to St. Marks Hospital in Salt Lake for the past week, receiving re-ceiving medical treatment. Mrs. Prince is in Salt Lake with her husband. Alton Atkin underwent surgery sur-gery Feb. 8, and is recuperating satisfactorily. Oscar Stephenson of Cedar City was a guest last Tuesday of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Schwab. Mj and Mrs. Ennie Hoopes and daughter Dorothy and Mrs. Bud Brown visited in Cedar j City Saturday- Mrs. Annie Evans was in Cedar Ce-dar City last week visiting her sister, Mrs. Inez Limb. Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Bryant of Parowan spent Sunday at Beaver Beav-er with their, son in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Low. Mr. & Mrs. Eldon Morris and children of Pioche, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Fordham of Salt Lake i were Sunday guests o'f Mr. and i Mrs. A. A. Morris. ' Mrs. Elizabeth Stewart of South Milford and Arthur Joseph Jos-eph of Parowan visited Tuesday Tues-day with their mother, Mrs. Annie Joseph. Mrs. Minnie Griffiths returned re-turned home after spending three weeks in Fillmore with their son in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Duane Bartholomew. Bartholo-mew. Mrs. June Gillies of Salt Lake spent the week end with heis parents, Mr. and Mrs. William. Gillies. Accompanying her to Beaver was their grandson Brad, who also visited grandparents grandpar-ents Mr. and Mrs. Percy Beesan. Mr. and Mrs. William Gillies were in Cedar City Monday to visit Mr. Gillies' brother, Eb Gillies, who is ill, and to attend to business matters. Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Paice were in Provo over the week end, guests of their son in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Ar-thur Olsen, and lo attend the BYU-Wyoming game. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Smith were in Salt Lake Wednesday of last week, attending to business. busi-ness. Mr. and Mrs. Rue Swindle-hurst Swindle-hurst motored to Provo Monday, Mon-day, accompanied by Nancy Yardley, who was returning to school. Mr. and Mrs. Mel Heslington and Mr. nd Mrs- Ira Baldwin Jr. went to Provo Saturday to see the BYU-Wyoming game, and after the game drove to Price, where they were guests of Mr. and Mrs- Mick Lindsay and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Baldwin. Mrs. Thomas Ward is slowly improving after su'aering a stroke last Frday. Her children are all with her. Mrs. Marva Heppler is visiting visit-ing this week in Cedar City with her mother, Mrs. Lula Cor- I ry, and a daughter Marleen. |
