ROY YARD-LEY YARD-LEY entertained with a New Year's dinner for.TVIr. and Mrs. Mickey Lindsay and three children chil-dren of Price, Pat Lindsay and three children, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lindsay and son. MR. AND MRS. WARREN THOMPSON entertained the Justamere Club and partners at a delicious two-course ham dinner on New Year's Eve- 18 guests were present to enjoy the evening. Table games were played, with prizes going to Mrs. Zona Myers, Anna Nelson, Jess Cart-wright, Cart-wright, and George Myers. Guests were Mr. and Mrs-William Mrs-William E. White, Mr. and Mrs. George Myers, Mr. and Mrs. Jess Cartwright, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Nelson, Mr. and Mrs-Elmer Mrs-Elmer Paice, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Wal-lace Limb, Mr. and Mrs- Victor Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Ken-neth Smith. 1 i THE BRIDGE CLUB held . their Christmas party with part-- part-- ners at the home of Mr- and ' t Mrs. Ross Smith, Dec. 26. A delicious ham dinner was served to Mr. and Mrs. V. W. Bakes, Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose Daltan, Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Gregerson, Mr- and Mrs. Seldon Nowers, Mr. and Mrs. Aubra Cartwright, Mr. and Mrs. Wells Farrer, Mr. and Mrs. Martell Easton, and the hosts. Bridge was played, and gifts were exchanged. THE BEAVER STUDY CLUB held their Christmas party Dec, 29th in the Second Ward Relief Society room, with husbands as invited guests. A delicious turkey tur-key dinner was served, and Ina McQuarrie acted as toastmaster for an interesting program. Rook was played, with prizes going to the winners. Serving on the committee were Caroline Smith, Stella Larsen, Pauline ..... Firmage, Lottie Farrer, Vilda Smith and Naomi Baker. A LOVELY New Years Eve party was enjoyed at the home of Mr- and Mrs. Earl T. Smith. A tasty hot supper was served to 30 guests. The home was decorated in the holiday rnotif, and tables were marked with little holiday hats which lent a festive air to the party. Prize winners at scrabble were Sherman and Clara Carter, Car-ter, Laura Smith, and Arthur Fotheringham. Mr. and Mrs. Wells Farrer entertained with a fried chickf-en chickf-en dinner Saturday evening. J Guests were Mr. and Mrs. La-Mont La-Mont Thornock and Mr. and Mrs. Dee Patterson- MR. AND MRS- A. A. MORRIS MOR-RIS quietly observed their 58th wedding anniversary at their home, Monday, Dec. 31, with a few friends invited to help celebrate cel-ebrate the occasion. Mr. Morris has been justice of the peace in Beaver since 1945, and operates a chicken ranch, at present caring for 1700 chickens. They have five living children: chil-dren: Roy Morris, Murray; Mrs. Vera Speakman, Fillmore; Ther-on Ther-on Morris, Las Vegas; Aubra Morris, Anaheim, Calif., and Eldon Morris, Pioche; 18 grandchildren grand-children and 17 great-grandchildren. LITTLE MISS MARY Mar-gare't Mar-gare't Baldwin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Baldwin Jr., entertained with a party for six friends on New Year's Eve. Games were played and light refreshments served. THE THIRD WARD Relief Society held their Christmas party during the holidays, with Grace Smith in charge and Stella Doud furnishing the music. mu-sic. A delicious hot ham dinner din-ner was served, with the tables decorated in the Christmas theme. Maude Christensen acted as master of ceremonies, and many toasts and poems were presented present-ed during the dinner, after which Santa arrived and distributed dis-tributed gifts to all present. THE BETTER HOMES Club held their Christmas party on Dec. 19 in the Second Ward Relief Re-lief Society room. They entertained enter-tained their husbands and a buffet supper was served to 42 guests. Table games were played. The committee included Mabel Ma-bel Smith, Lucille B. Murdock, Mildred Yardley, Kate Blackburn, Black-burn, Emma Hoopes and Alta Boyter. MRS. ALMA SLY of Milford surprised her mother, Mrs. Flora Edwards, on her birth anniversary an-niversary last Saturday evening, eve-ning, bringing delicious prepared pre-pared food for the occasion. She showed many interesting motion pictures, after which canasta ca-nasta was played. Guests were Mr. and Mrs-Lafe Mrs-Lafe Bradshaw, Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Puffer, Mr. and Mrs-Dale Mrs-Dale Sly, Mrs. Linda Munford, Mrs. Linda Prince, and Mrs. Sly and the honored guest . |
