Art Edvalson over at Sevier TV in Milford spends a lot of time answering unnecessary phone calls. Every time the t signal gets weak or there's some unsual interference, the cable subscribers start phoning in to tell him about it, and he has to spend time on the phone when he could be out fixing the trouble. Art explained that someone is on duty with a set on from the time TV comes on in the morning until it goes off in the evening, and anytime any type of trouble arises, either he or Brox is after it immediately. "That is, as soon as we can get away from the phone," Art added. A woman shouldn't do two things at once especially wear slacks while she's putting put-ting on weight. "Coffee Hours" are on tap in Beaver County as part of the annual polio drive. Every one knows what a "coffee break" is, and lots of employers may figure that most coffee breaks might just as well be called coffee "hours" 'cause that's what they usually are, but Polio Coffee Hour is a little lit-tle different. These "chain" coffee hours are arranged by organizations or individuals, and friends and neighbors are invited to the different dif-ferent homes for coffee, and they in turn put on a coffee hour, with all proceeds going to the March of Dimes. In Milford,. the JayceeEttes, led by Mrs. Ora Burke, and the Ladies Auxiliary to the B of R T, led by Mrs. Joan Holland, ar sponsors. Beaver's sponsors will be announced next week. Ulcers aren't caused by what you eat, but by what's eatin' you ! ! The successful man is the one who makes more money than his wife can spend; the successful success-ful woman is tire one who marries him- Too Late to Classify That's the heading some newspapers use when a subscriber sub-scriber phones in a classified ad after the deadline. Mrs. M. D- Maddox phoned about noon Thursday to announce an-nounce that she had 10 puppies she'd like to give away absolutely abso-lutely for free. They're mostly Doberman Pincher, but she doesn't know the rest of their ancestry. Anyone want some swell pups, phone DU 7-2677. Everybody had their polio shots? Max Mecham points out that for many years the residents resi-dents of Beaver County have been investing, through their March of Dimes contributions, in this polio vaccine, and now that it's available, we should all "cash in" on our investment. In Beaver, the supply of vaccine vac-cine furnished by the National Foundation has been exhausted and shots are now being administered admin-istered at the still ridiculously low prio f $3. Think oi ""' shot to insure in-sure your family against the horrible ravages of polio! And the vaccine, in many parts of the nation, is "going begging." In Milford, at the Beaver County Clinic sufficient vaccine is still on hand for 280 shots, which will be administered at $1. When this is gone, the price will be higher.
