Show Local Happenings - . . a a i a Ringham Ward Relief Society will hold its mor.thly work day next Tuesday, February 8, commencing com-mencing at J0.00 a.m. It will be under direction of Mrs. Violet Carter and Mrs. Flfio Rcid and consist of basket making, luncheon lunch-eon cloths will be made etc. Luncheon Lun-cheon will be served at noon with Mrs. Lily Timothy and Mrs. Blanche Reid as hostesses. All members and ladies of the ward are invited. Mr. and Mrs. Ross M. Cushing attended the state credit union meeting in Salt Lake City last Sunday. Mr. Cushing was a delegate. dele-gate. W. B. A. will meet at the home of Mrs. It R. Gu.--,t of Copperton Monday, February 14th. Mr. and Mrs. Ross M. Cushing had Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Murano as quests after bingo last Saturday Satur-day night. ! Mr. and Mrs. Dan Goodwin and sons, Benny and Jack, of Salt Lake City were dinner guest and spent the day Sunday with Mrs. Goodwin's- parents, Mr. and Mrs. II. R. Gust. Mrs. Shirley Susaeta spent the day Tuesday in Salt Lake City with her sister, Jerry Watkins. Mrs. Ada Carrigan was hostess to her bridge club Wednesday evening at her home in Copper-ton, Copper-ton, Prizes at cards were won by Mrs. Lois Hatch, first; Mrs. Ros-clla Ros-clla Raucr, second, and Mrs. Agnes Ag-nes Johnston, bingo. Copperton Dad's Club To Hold Winter Party Wednesday, February 9th Copperton Dad's Club will hold a sledding party and weiner roast next Wednesday, February 9 at 4:30 p.m. behind the Bingham high school (follow the signs), j The Dad's have invited their wives wiv-es and families to join the funj along with Boy Scout Troops 150 and 221 and Girl Scout Intermediate Inter-mediate Troops 140 and 77. President Pre-sident H. Forsnes is planning the . menu. Troop 150 will act as chefs ; with Frank Swain as consultant. Troop 221 will choose the site, pack the hill and make the signs. Vice President E. Johnson will provide the firewood, and the Girl Scout troops will taffy apples ap-ples over the open fire for des-j sert. The Dad's are quite certain j that they can teach the scouts some of the finer points of sled-1 ding. Everyone is looking tor-ward tor-ward to having a good time. West Jordan Stake Junior Gold and Green Ball for Beehive Girls and Scouts will be held at South Jordan tomorrow night, Saturday, Satur-day, February 5th from 8:00 to 10:30 p.m. There is no admission. Transportation will be furnished from own wards. Mrs. Erma Davis entertained at her home in Copperton Tuesday Tues-day evening for members of her club. Mrs. Leona Susaeta was a special guest. Bridge was played with prizes going to Mrs. Betty Nichols, Mrs. Mary Tangaro and Mrs. Marion Jimas. Lovely refreshments re-freshments were served. |
