For the benefit of those of oaf reader who have not followed the hfstofy of this case we give the following brief synopsis of the case i Mrs. Florence Elizabeth Maybrick Is an American by birth, and was married to James Maybrick, a prominent cotton merchant of Liverpool England, about eight years ago. The couple did not live happily together, and her intimacy with Brlerly was a constant source df unpleasantness between her and her husband. MaybHCk vvtts about 22 years older than his vvtfei which also probably helped to Wldsll the gulf between. On the 11th of last May, Maybrick died after a short Illness, and a few days after a sensation was created by the arrest of his wife for murder. She was accused of causing her husband's death by arsenical poisoning. It appears that on the day before his death, Mrs. Maybrick had given one of the children a letter to post. It was dropped in the mud and the nurse, Alice Yapp, opened It to it In a clean envelope. The letter w as addressed to Brlerly and contained such criminating statements that the nurse never mailed the letter, but turned it over to the brother of May brick. The testimony before the coroners jury and committing magistrate, showed that Maybrick died of arsenical poisoning that Mrs.Maybrick had bought psjaf tasii T fipee I ra! .
