Show HEALTH NEWS According to the weekly bulletin bul-letin of the state department of health, a total of 169 new cases of communicable diseases were reported for the week ending July 23. Measles led the list with a total to-tal of 25 new cases. Whooping cough came second with 34 and mumps was third with 29 cases. The following is a list of all diseases reported for the week: cancer, 4; chicken pox, 26; poliomyelitis, polio-myelitis, 5; measles, 35; German measles, 5; mumps, 29; strep infections, in-fections, 14; tularemia, 2; whooping whoop-ing cough, 34; gonorrhea, 3; syph ills, 6; gastro-enteritis, 3; rheu-imatic rheu-imatic fever, 2, and encephalitis, Inon-epid., 1. o |
