Pilkington said that he was not surprised that the women's team won. "The team is made up of a talented and experienced group of sophomores and juniors," Pilkington said. "They have been ranked second in their conference for the past few years." Pilkington said that both the men's and the women's teams have a lot of talent in them. Both teams had one of their top runners sit out the meet, and they still came away with first place victories. Next week, the WSU cross country teams will be traveling to South Bend, Ind., for the Notre Dame Invitational Meet on Sept. 30. The men's and women's teams are looking to improve on their results from last year, where the men's team finished 16th out of 21 teams with 388 points, and the women's team finished 15th with 375 points. Ortgiesen brought the ball down the middle of the field and hit a through ball on the ground that Simmons easily stepped on to for the finish from six yards out. The final goal of the match came in the 83rd minute, when senior midfielder Nicole Moore hit a deep cross from the left sideline to Sortor six yards off the far post. Sortor flicked the ball just inside the post for the 3-0 lead. Sophomore goalkeeper Ryann Waldman had the shutout in goal as the Wildcats' defense captured its second clean sheet of the season and lowered its Big Sky Conference-best goalsagainst average to 1.00. They are in leagues with their coworkers, and all I know is that a lot of smack is spoken each week. I have had people tell me that because of their fantasy football leagues, they have gotten more into the actual games. They will watch and pick out the athletes they have on their fantasy team. They will track the players' movements, success and failures. They be- come more aware of what is going on in each game. NFL football is supposed to be fun and entertaining. If it takes a fantasy football league or weekly predictions to get into the season and enjoy it, I say go for it! If you like the league already, join in the side-games to get more into it. Last year The Signpost office did a league. I did not really care about it. I barely remembered my login for the league. All I remember about the league is that Joe Flacco was my quarterback and I had the Ravens' defense. I love the Ravens, so I just stacked my team with all their players.
