New rape laws to halt adultery charges against victims The Pakistani Government has passed laws amending rape laws that human rights advocates claim have been the source of thousands of wrongful treatment of innocent victims. Under the old law, women who reported being raped could be prosecuted for adultry. According to the old ordinance, a woman who reports that she has been raped must produce four male witnesses to prove it. If she fails to do so, she can be prosecuted for adultery. OJ Simpson writes 'confession' OJ Simpson, in an interview with the U.S. Fox network, has detailed the methods he would have used to murder Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman, if he had actually killed them. The former professional football player was tried and found not-guilty for the 1994 murders, despite an immense amount of DNA, physical and circumstantial evidence indicating him as the killer. The interview comes before the release of a book called IfI Did It. Environmentalists optimistic about climate change The Kyoto Protocol, which obliges 35 industrial nations to reduce their greenhouse gases by five percent below the 1990 levels by 2012, has been rejected by the United States. The only other major nation that did not accept the protocal was Australia. At the Nairobi conference the United States, the world's biggest such emitter, staunchly defended its record on battling global warming.
