RHA Week continues by JaNae Barlow Ass't News EditorFeatures RHA Week continues this weekend with activities for students who are members of the Residence Halls Association as well as students who are not. This weekend's RHA activities include participating in the Japanese Invasion wrestling match, sponsoring Casino Night, and showing a free movie. Friday night, Feb. 21 at 7 p.m., RHA will be trying its luck at winning prizes at the Japanese Invasion wrestling match sponsored by the athletic department. There will be competition at the game for best cheer, participation and banner. Voices, an RHA cheerleading group, will be appearing at the game. Casino Night is set for Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in the Promontory Tower dining room. The theme for the evening is Casino Royale and will be designed to give the impression of being on a cruise ship. Charges for this activity will be $2 for RHA members and $3 for those who are not. The activity is open for all those interested in attending. Proceeds from the event will go to help fight Muscular Dystrophy. Sunday, the Association will be showing The Natural with Robert Redford in the Promontory Tower dining room at 2 p.m. and at 7:30 p.m. This movie is free for everyone. 11 . rlT mi UICK ETURNS, INC. He is a past co-host of "Real People" and is the current opener for Lionel Richie and Kenny Rogers. Tickets are on sale at the Browning Center office, $3 for students, $4 for non-students. Undergraduate Literature Conference The Western States Undergraduate Literature Conference, sponsored by the WSC English department and the Delta Chapter of Lambda Iota Tau, is being held April 17-19 on this campus. Mikel Vause and Michael Meyer, WSC English department instructors and organizers for the conference, urge undergraduates to submit original papers for this event. The papers should concern American or British literature and creative works (poetry, short fiction, essay). They need to be submitted by Saturday, March 1 to the WSC English department and should be accompanied by a sponsoring professor's endorsement tor onginaiuy. Cross Country Ski Tour The Wilderness Recreation Center is sponsoring a cross country ski tour Saturday, Feb. 22. It costs $13 with ski rental and $10 without. The price also includes transportation, insurance, basic ski instruction and snack. Sign up in UB 273 or call 626-6373. Ice Climbing Experience the thrill of mountaineering while learning basic techniques of ice climbing. Join the Wilderness Recreation Center on Sunday, Feb. 23 for this event. Zoology and Geology Clubs The Zoology and Geology clubs are pleased to sponsor Frank DeCorten, geology instructor and curator of the Utah Museum of Natural History. He will speak in LL128 Friday, Feb. 21 at 12:30 p.m. He will discuss palentological information that suggests the patterns responsible for the extinction of dinosaurs.
