The Bobcats turned around and marched 80 yards in 12 plays to tie the score at 7-7 with 9:50 on the clock. From that drive on the game belonged to MSU. The Bobcat offense had possession of the ball for 70 percent of the time. They had 25 first downs to Weber's 12 and 407 yards in total offense compared to the Wildcat total of 269. The Wildcats came back strong in the third quarter. Montana State had first possession of the ball and on a third and three situation Weber's Lorenzo Thompson sacked Godfrey for a loss of 12 which forced the punt. Weber took possession on their own 24-yard line. With the help of a 15 yard ruffing-the-passer penalty, a 24 yard pass to Bradley and a 21 yard run by Bernal, the Wildcats were able to move the ball 76 yards in 6 plays for the TD. Two more TD's were scored during the game-one by MSU in the third quarter and the final one by Weber State with only one second left in the game. The final was 23-20 Montana State.
