The annual foul pitch contest was held, and the holiday basketball tournament is in progress. Delta Phi Kappa won the team foul pitch title, with Pi Kappa Alpha in second, Sigma Gamma Chi in third, Mean Machine fourth and Beta fifth. Dan Dion Individually in the foul pitch, Dan Dion of the Mean Machine Team won first. Tieing for second was Vinde Daily of the Dirty Seven and Dan Parkin of Delta Phi. A five way tie for third included: Mike Koga (Bombers), Dave Wigham (Skullbusters), Randy Quesenberry (Mean Machine), Matt Bundy (SGC) and Randy Carr (PKA). Taking fourth in the foul pitch were Tim Finger (Dirty &) and Jeff Daily (SGC). In holiday basketball scores: W. Calvin's game high 15 points paced the Dirty Seven team to a 34-22 victory over the Delta Flippers; Paramount knocked off the Beta 2 team by a 26-22 score and Sigma Gamma Chi notched a forfeit win over GBO. Basketball preview Tonight in Wildcat gymnasium, Weber State hosts the Athletes in Action Basketball squad. Tipoff time is 7:30 p.m. Students need only valid student I.D. cards to get into the game and they can sit anywhere in the student seating sections. Tonight's game will be broadcast on KDAB radio, 101.1 FM. Athletes in Action is a team composed of former college basketball players. WSC Coach Neil McCarthy calls the team "the best team that will likely ever play in Wildcat Gym." So far this season, Athletes in Action has beaten such teams as nationally-ranked University of Maryland and also San Diego State. They have an 8-5 season record. Former UCLA center Ralph Drollinger plays for ALA. He stands 7-2 and is only one of AIA's high-caliber players. At 5:15 p.m. tonight in a preliminary game, the Weber State Women's basketball team will open its season in an intersquad contest.
