'Good Company' begins auditions There was a total difference of approximately $19,000 between what was requested and what was finally allocated during the 1974-75 budget hearings held last spring. Among the organizations hardest hit by the budget hearings were the Rodeo Club with a $4,566 request and $0 allocation ; Black Scholars United, with a $6,320.28 request and an $800 allocation; AWS, with a $1,680 request and a $925 allocation; and The Signpost, reduced from $14,084 to a $9,903 allocation. The public relations budget was cancelled after having been arJDroved at $2,230. Deletions were also made from the Women's Intramurals budget in the areas of awards, personnel and fun nights. Deletions from Men's Intramurals included $400 from trophies and $500 from officials. According to Sherri Uli, director of the Orchesis program, there would be fewer speakers and students would use old costumes instead of new ones due to the cut in their budget. The Campus Listening and Information Center was required to delete $165 for a typewriter, $85 for out-of-state travel, $49 for a work-study secretary, $240 for an automatic call transfer system, $360 from training retreats and $162 for chairman fees. Black Scholars United had their in-and out-of-state travel budgets reduced as well as hourly wages, recruitment and $200 from rentals. The Signpost lost their secretary and benefits because of the budget cuts. Also, use of the UPI machine will be terminated. The Inter-Tribal Indian Student Organization found their recruitment, transportation rentals and their life style exchanges programs cut Los Estudiantes Unidos had their cultural exchange budget and recruitment budgets eliminated, along with $100 from advertising, $430 from fliers and $60 from their brochure budget. fflack Ufa &droal Imperial DAKITC SUITS $49.00 r" SHIRTS SPORT COATS $35.00 SOCKS ELSHA $4.00 and $6.00 TIES Vz off 3 for $1 1.00 50c ea. $1.99 "Good Company," a traveling assembly representing Weber State College in musical performances, will hold auditions on October 4 and 10 from noon until 2 p.m. in the Union Building Little Theatre.
