On the Sidelines By Ryan Rees Several important dates were set up by the Big Sky Conference offi cials that met in Ogden two weeks ago. One of the most important was the naming of Weber as the host for the 1964 cross-country meet. The 1964 BSAC swimming meet will be held on the Weber campus March 6-7 instead of the previous date of March 21. The change in schedule was made because of the NCAA meet that will be held on the same date. Steps were taken for the conference basketball champ to participate in the NCAA , university playoffs. Weber must become an accredited university before this can take place however. An application will be submitted this month and the results will be known in January. Big Sky coaches named Babe Cassia of Idaho State as the "coach of the year." The Bengals under Cassia posted a 3-1 BSAC record and won the football crown. They posted a 6-3 overall record.
