The game trip to Idaho was full of fun and excitement. On the way up the students became better acquainted as they danced their way to Idaho. When the train reached I.S.U. there was a gallant parade made up of us! The Lambda Delt members were met by the Lambda Delt Chapter. The officers of L.D.S. at Idaho State showed us around the campus and their big beautiful Institute. The game was full of enthusiastic and spirited kids. Lambda Delt sat together in the student section and cheered the team on. Congratulations go to the team for their victory over Idaho. It was thrilling. After the game we were on our way home. The dancing continued as before, but there were a few who just had to sleep, sing songs and take it easy. What was this about pillows on the Lambda Delt car? Monday night Lambda Delt's float came down. There were a few activies and a few pledges, just enough to go around. With the clean-up finished, a party was started which included eating and dancing. We found out Floyd was real handy with a can of brown spray paint. Thursday night was the Institute-Lambda Delt annual Halloween party. Everyone came dressed in costumes (their secret wish to be huh Rodney) and participated in games and dancing. There was a spook and real ghost and spook stories told by an expert. The evening wasfinishedoffwithprizes awarded to the best costume for a boy, a girl and a grand prize. Ask the winners what thir prizes were and maybe they will share! L.D. Celebrates "All Season Party' by Twink Owens On Saturday, October 23, LaDia-naeda held an off-campus Rush party. It wan an "all-season" party in which we depicted each season of a year at a different place. Celebration of the New Year was held at the home of Marguerite Baker's grandmother, Easter services conducted at a North Ogden church, Thanksgiving, dinner eaten at the Mansion House, a Christmas celebrated at the White House (Santa Claus even paid us a visit, bringing presents for theRushees). In that "year" L.D. became better acquainted with the Rushees and said hello to alumni who dropped in to serve and sing. Acceptance Banquet La Dianaeda's Acceptance Banquet, honoring our new pledges, was held last Wednesday, October 27, at the Ramada Inn. The Pledge Ceremony was held at the end of this banquet; each new "Swabbie" was presented her L.D. necklace by her "big sister." L.D. is planning a party with Phoenix Men's Club on Monday, November 1. We are looking forward to this "get - acquainted-with - the - pledges" party. L.D. reminds all W.S.C. girls of the Harvest Ball to be held tonight in the Union Ball. Tickets for this girl's choice dance can still be purchased by L.D. representative, Cathy Carlson. Girlsr don't miss this affair--it will prove fun for all who attend. Alpha Rho Omega Returns After 10 Years During the past twenty years, the Wildcats have outgrown the lower campus and their two-year academic program. They have now reached a four year State college status, and their studentbody has grown to over 5,600 in number. With the change of the college, comes a need and desire of change in the social life. To meet this need, a group of WSC students have formed Alpha Rho Omega. Dating back to the mid-forties, Alpha Rho was one of the most enterprizing clubs on campus. For various reasons, the club became inactive about 1957. But last week, on October 21, 1965, the club was officially reactivated on the WSC campus with 45 charter members. The club's colors are blue and white on a distinctive coat of arms shield. The Greek letters "Alpha Rho Omega" stand for the beginning and the end; that "which was, which is, and which is to come." Members are united by working for individual, club, and school goals in the athletic, academic, leadership and social fields. The determination of Alpha Rho members has already been demonstrated by their victory over the other men's clubs in the annual homecoming cross country race. Newly elected officers are Dave Maynard as president, Steve Call "as vice president, Kirk Black as secretary, and Greg Kemp as treasurer. Members are anxiously looking forward to competition with Phoenix, Sigma, and Excelsior for various honors and activities throughout the year. A halloween party is being planned for Alpha Rho members and their dates on Saturday, October 30. ,1 " 'IS '"! - A 1 ' if n , 4 New Alpha Rho Omega Club (L-R) Greg Kemp, Treasurer; Steve Call, Vice President; Kirt Black, Secretary; and Dave Maynard, President. Whispers In The Halls The Resident Hall officers were busy this week planning the annual Halloween Party. They scheduled it for Thursday the 28th of October and urged everyone to come in costumes which they fashioned themselves. " Party Games They planned activities such as apple dunking, Pumkin carving contests, and a variety of other O.T. Welcomes New Papooses Otyokwa wishes to express appreciation to each of the girls who went through Rush with us last week. The squaws have enjoyed and will enjoy throughout the year the friendships made during the three Rush nights we spent together. We are especially happy to welcome into our tribe the new papooses whom we greeted Wednesday night at a thrilling acceptance evening. Each of these potential squaws bring their own unique qualities to add to the circle . of Otyokwa. We are proud to accept them as our sisters. Our best wishes go to each of the other clubs and to their new pledges. As the first function which will include our new pledges, we look forward to an Excelsior - O.T. Halloween party to be held this weekend. entertaining games. Towards the end they had dancing and refreshments. The party is devised in such a way that it should break the ice for all those girls who have' not as yet obtained their dates for the Harvest Ball. The casual and gay atmosphere should make it easy for them to snare the man of their choice. Excel Holds Formal Rush With the end of Rush Week the men of Excelsior would like to thank everyone who has participated in any way. The formal rush party at the Oak Hills Country Club was a huge success with 140 people attending. Excelsior picked up 48 pledges Monday and their names will appear in next weeks article. This year's Halloween party will be held at the Snow Basin Lodge. The date for the party is October 30, and the time is 8:00. Invited are O.T. and Excels members, pledges, and alumni and their dates. Those coming must have a costume or they will not be allowed entrance. Excelsior's mascot, Julis Cesor, is at home waiting for the big Halloween party. Brent Belnap was elected vice president of Excelsior last Thursday. Congratulations Brent; we know you'll do a good job. P.S. Thanks O.T. Let's keep it the way it is - Great.
