The BIG AND LITTLE OF SQUAD ierv', 'Red' Give Variety to Crew In the first of a series of features on Wildcat hoop artists, Signpost sports presents thumb nail sketches of Gary Jensen, left, and Marvin Hansen, right. Marvin Hansen Big Marvin Hansen holds the tallest player title on the Weber College basketball team and towers over his colleagues at an even G-6. Marv plays center position on the hoop squad and is one of the hardest working athletes at Weber College.. Born November 5, 1936 in Ogden, Marv has been "Big Marv" all his life. He attended Lewis Junior High where he lettered in football, basketball and track. He then attended Ogden High School where his basketball career became more dominent, his improvement moved up-hill and he showed good-natured tolerance of affectionate laughter at his big legged clumsiness. Steady improvement, however, led to collegiate basketball. In his freshman year at Weber he lettered in basketball and track- Marv is affiliated with Phoenix social club and is active in intramural volleyball. His plans for the future are undecided, but since his sports play a major role he feels he will probably go into coaching. Marv plans to attend Weber next fall will again be a big cog in the 'Cat grid machine. 4 ' J v. - - i r n i ; 1 ' i )' i - i 1 1 1 3 si Shown above are 'Cat Cagers' who scrape the gym rafters at 64" or more.
