Show "AVENGE MAJUBA." This the Cry Which Greeted General Bul-ler Bul-ler at Capetown. London, Nov. 2. While announcement announce-ment of the arrivai of General Bullet at Capetown was received by the British Brit-ish with unfeigned satisfaction, it is pointed out the general cannot end the war without an army corps, and soma of the troops which are to compose it have not even left England for South Africa. Dispatches from Capetown show that General Buller's reception was most enthusiastic. He was welcomed by General Sir Frederick Forester-Walker, after which they bo'A entered a carriage car-riage and drove to the government house, escorted by mounted police and mounted volunteers. They were wildly cheered by the th-ongs of people along the route. Thera were cries of "Avenge Majuba," and wMd cheers for the general. gen-eral. General Buller's face was impassive impas-sive as he returned military salutes for the cheers. |
