Work at the Copper Mountain has been suspended for the present, owing to foul air in the mine. Alex Y. Milne and David Moss, the painters, returned from a business trip in Kane county Tuesday. Thos. H. Gardner and family left for Grass Valley Thursday; they will stay there during the summer. The Dixie smelter, which has been closed down tor a few days awaiting oke, will blow in on Monday. Mrs. Seth A. Pymm left last Sunday for Salt Lake city, where she intends remaining for some time visiting. It now seems reasonably certain that an extension of the Utah & Pacific will shortly take place towards Los Angeles. Mrs. Press Lamb, who has been visiting vis-iting relatives and friends here, left for her home at Deer Lodge Sunday evening, A. B.
