Report of committee appointed to audit Clerk and Treasureis. Financial Statement, that they found the same correct, accepted. Bond of John Graf, road supervisor for Santa Clara, approved. Bond of George N. Fawcett, constable con-stable of Price precinct approved. Bond of James G. Knell, constable Pinto precinct approved. Bond of George T. Cottam, road supervisor of St. Georgo precinct approved. ap-proved. Bond of Francis Prince, road supervisor super-visor of Harmony approved. Bond of Isaac H. Langston, road supervisor of Springdale approved. Bond of Ira A. Bradshaw road supervisor super-visor of Virgin City precinct approved. Bond of John Wood, Jr,, road supervisor super-visor of Grafton precinct, read and approved. ap-proved. Bond of W. O, Harris, road supervisor super-visor of Leeds precinct approved. Report of Emil Hurler, poundkeeper of Toquerville precinct, of the sale of estrays for the year ending December 31, 1898, showing 6 animals, sold for total amount of $31.75; costs on same $39.47. Referred back. Petition of seven residents of Enterprise Enter-prise asking for the establishment of a new school district at that place out of the eastern part of the Hebron school district and Hamblin school district, read and laid over to come up at next session. Petition of B, Y. McMuilin and 27 others of the Leeds precinct, asking the County Commissioners to call a special election for the purpose of voting for or against a fence law in the county also petitions for Toquerville, Rockville, Springdale, and Virgin City, to the same purpose, laid over to come up at next session. Bond of James G. Duffln, road supervisor super-visor of Toquerville precinct approved. Bond of Arthur A. Paxman, road supervisor of Washington precinct approved. ap-proved. Bond of Franklin O, Holt, road supervisor for Gunlock approved. Bond of John T. Langston, road supervisor for Rockville approved. Communication from James G. Duffin in relation to condition of roads in Toquerville precinct, and asking for the appropriation of $100.00, or so much thereof as might be necessary to repair said road, read and laid on table. The Clerk was authorized to purchase sufficient books for the various precinct poundkeepers. Bill of George F. Whitehead for $2.50, general expenses, allowed. An ordinance in relation to merchants mer-chants and other licenses passed. Adjourned. |
