Show ME YOU andrew F gregerson was born at denmark september 13 1848 a son of eric and anna chris tina gregerson died at st george utah july 26 1922 his father was a major in the danish army and was killed in a battle with the germans when andrew was two years old andrew a mother joined the L D S church and sent him her only son to utah in 1862 when he was about 13 years old he drove a herd of cattle across the plains and on arriving in utah settled at gunnison Gunn lson where he learned the english lang aage at the age of 17 he crossed the plains tor for emigrants at sweetwater he saw where soldiers and indians had fought the indians being very bad at that time the indians had piled the wagons on the soldiers and burned them on oil returning with the emigrants he drove the hospital wagon and fell all his passengers died on the journey with nith calera he afterwards having to walk wale all the way W ay he ile was a veteran of the black hawk indian war and was granted a medal for services under captain gardner he ile came to dixie in the early days and went to work in nevada for four years he ile worked at silver reef during the busy mining times there and undertook several large contracts he also took a railroad contract near nev and also did considerable teaming in that section mining and farming were his later occupations cupat ions he was largely interested in extensive iron deposits in bull valley when ha he died also in other mining property he had land interests ut at bellevue where he resided for a number of years here he was presiding elder of the L D
