Show RED CROSS SUNDAY governor bamberger yesterday Is sued the following proclamation on red crosa sunday the american red cross Is one great national organization supported from private sources that has been born of war and yet functions with the highest efficiency in times oa peace its mission Is mercy and in the performance of its mission it has won recognition as one of our great national institutions once each year it is the custom tor the american red cross to make special appeal to the people of the country tor members that its work may ace continued ot such importance is the perpetuation of the organization deemed that the president of the united states has seen fit to suggest that november 14 1920 be set aside tor such observance as will stimulate interest in its continuation now therefore I 1 simon bamberger governor of utah do hereby designate and set apart sunday november H 1920 as red cross sunday in utah and do respectfully urge that all forces in our state loin in the effort for the furtherance ot this great work of mercy foreign diplomats accredited to this country are warmly welcomed and soon find themselves possessed of hordes ot friends it has been officially fici ally ruled that booze shipped to them from abroad Is not subject to seizure |
