| Show ST GEORGE PIPE CITY WATER TO CIT we are threatened with a shortage of cottonwood water thia season and perhaps not tor this season only yet while we are threatened with a shortage of water one half about of the cottonwood water Is being lost to us through evaporation and seepage this la a great loss to us but the actual loss of water la not the only bad feature about it there is another feature that Is kastely more important and that Is that sheep and cattle get about the watershed where the drainage into the canal carries impurities puri ties that endanger the health perhaps life of the citizens we believe an effort should bo made at once to conserve our water supply and guard its purity by piping it it will be necessary to bond to do this lets bond then tor all we can and expend it on our water supply we cannot do anything that will be of greater benefit to ourselves and those who are to follow us the city bonded indebtedness at present is about we can go beyond this and pipe the water about 8 miles lets bond what do you say citizens |
