Show THE DIXIE c great filled the hearts of every DIMO student when he or she learned that our debi tors leroy hafen and randolph atkin had gamed tho victory in the debato debito with the branch cormal like bome dc bites this ono was not won because of the inferiority of the losing side for the question was well handled bv both teams the clinice of sides gave our bivs 0 strong foundation on which they were able to build a film argument that could notice shaken we are proud of our dixie representatives and chopo that aliey will aldays be as in the future as they are at tho present time we were more alian pleased with the musical rendered last friday night by the piano pupils of miss jones the vocal of mr acal hster and the first year chorus of the academy all of the selections were very well rendered and reflected much credit on all taking part and the instructors the academy boys leave skirted up an undertaking parlor the first victim being an alligator lassoed on the black ridge west of town the acir books were in the little entrance room just in front of the principals office and would not be given out until 1 45 in the afternoon how could any sane expect us to exist through that long tiresome forenoon 1 but somehow we did and when at last the time came and the entrance door was swung open great crowds surged in as far as they could each student eager to get hold of the loved treasure and to devour its contents the gaped ali then and there was hurrying to and fro even our worthy president tall in stature and large in frame though he be was not able to stand the test of rapidity required to hand out all those books to the eager crowd great beads of pei fell from his brow and would soiled the books biad not some kind hand more at liberty than his own brushed them aside for him our commissioner commisa ioner of finance was compelled to work so rapidly checking off the names of those who had ordered the books that he has not been able to ubo his right hand even to perform experiments in tho laboratory in the mad rush students forget their clashes and compelled to get excuses to satisfy the indignation of their respective instructors others forgot eliat school houn were not over and came nearly being seized by members of the police force time passed the books were finally out and the surging fica grew calm but what could account for the extreme quiet which reigned throughout the building 7 just ab rest is to the laborer so a good nifty year book is to a restless enthusiastic student body next friday night at eight in the tabernacle a
