Show SOME DIXIE HISTORY an account of the early settlement Sett lemen and hardships its resources and possibilities this thi delightful legion was inas called dixie by the early settlers on account of its adaptability to the glowing of choice semi tropical fruits cotton tobacco broom corn molasses and many other kinds of semi tropical products A party of explorers explorer sent ent into this country in the fall of 1849 f aiom aiom salt lal P city fetui returned ned in malchi 1800 1800 and told of its beautiful winter climate and the op for growing groining pio products ducts that would be nery ery valuable able to the peo pie of the northern nor thein country where everything had to be from ma on the dixie route in 1804 a mall mission of about twenty men under rufus C alien allen was
