Show TaYERKIN Fansy L. Hardy Reporter Marvin Terry of Rockville and Alvin Allred of Springdale were home missionaries at LaVerkin Sacrament services Sunday. Mrs. Ina Gifford was a St. George visitor last week. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Pectol of Washington were Sunday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Willard Pectol, who have a new babv. Willard Pectol was up from Las Vegas for the week end to make, his son's acquaintance. Word has been received here of the birth of son to Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Gifford of Las Vegas on April 16. Mrs. Arthur Woodbury has re-; re-; turned home from New Mexico where she has been visiting one of her daughters. Mrs. Moroni Sanders and Mrs. Verl Dalley were Cedar City visitors vis-itors this week. Under the supervision of the ward bishopric the Aaronic priest hood boys of LaVerkin have cut enough asparagus for five cases of No. 2 cans. They have two more cases to cut. The asparagus was canned by the wives of the bishopric at the home of Bishop Lorin D. Squire. Mrs. Oren Hepworth entertained Sunday evening in honor of her son's wife, Mrs. Colleen Hepworth, the occasion being her birthday anniversary. Carl Church was released Sunday Sun-day as first counselor in the Sunday Sun-day school superintendency, due to his call to military services. Walter Segler was chosen to fill the vacancy. Ramona Gubler had the misfortune mis-fortune to be hit with a shot at the track meet at Hurricane last Friday. The weight hit her on the forehead, making a deep wound. She is reported making rapid improvement. Vernon Church is at home ill. Mrs. Serge Glad and Mrs. Bill Smith of Salt Lake City were visitors at the home of their mothef, Mrs. Pearl Henroid the past week. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan White and children of Provo were visiting relatives and friends in LaVerkin this week. Lucile Gubler and Norma Sanders Sand-ers were Salt Lake visitors this week. Mary A. Gubler is in Salt Lake City this week visiting her daughters, daugh-ters, Mrs. Marjorie Dalton and Mrs. Mansel Scow. l |
