Show President's Annual Birthday Bail To Be Held Friday 'March of Dimes' Programs Slated for Various Places Throughout County The President's "March of Dimes" and birthday ball will be on the map in St. George and Washington Wash-ington county again this year, announces an-nounces Wesley A. Nelson, who has been appointed by Senator Ira Huggins to serve as county chairman. A complete orangiza-tion orangiza-tion of the county is being made, with the major community responsibility res-ponsibility going to Reid Leigh, St. George chairman, since the big birthday ball will be held in this city on Friday evening, Jan. 29th. Chairman Leigh has every-thing every-thing moving forward in St. George, says Mr. Nelson. Arrangements are made for the "March of Dimes" at all public places, with athletic programs and other events being featured during this week of the birthday ball. Chairmen appointed in other towns in the county include J. LeGrand Bowler, Gunlock; Heber Truman, Enterprise; Milford Bar-num, Bar-num, Central; Mrs. Viola Kelsey, New Harmony; Walter Brooks, Hurricane; Edmond DeMille, Springdale; Bertram Sullivan, of Rockville; Mrs. Bert Hall, Washington; Wash-ington; and Grant Hafen, Veyo, with other towns being organized. organ-ized. Washington county cases of paralysis par-alysis have already benefitted by this movement in behalf of children child-ren stricken with the read polio, and people are asked to remember remem-ber that this is an unselfish campaign cam-paign in the interest of such cases all over the United States, the state sufferers to get a full share in the money collected in this great movement. We still have cases that merit treatment and every dime helps toward this situation. |
