Show Ridings Hear of Marriage Of Miss Laura Riding In New York City - - Mr. and Mrs. John H. Riding were advised recently of the June 27th marriage in New York City of their granddaughter, Miss Laura Riding, to Lieut. A. L. Amerilis, ship physician and surgeon plying off the East Coast. The bride will be remembered as Miss Laura Riding, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Riding, who now reside in Ogden. She has made her home in California for the past four years, three of which she has been employed as dental nurse. While there she has made her home with her maternal ma-ternal grandmother, Mrs. Laura A. Gates. Leaving Los Angeles for the East, she stopped over two days in Ogden to visit her parents, going go-ing by train to New York, where she joined Lieut. Amerilis for their marriage, which took place in a small city church. Following the ceremony they honeymooned for several days at Niagara Falls and along the Canadian border, before returning to New York, where Mrs. Amerilis will reside in upper Manhattan, to be near her husband. Following her established custom, cus-tom, Mrs. Riding has sent her granddaughter one of her beautifully beauti-fully made silk quilts, and states that her grandson and his bride will also receive some of her handwork shortly. |
