Dinner guests Wednesday at 'the home of Mr. and Mrs. R. T. j Higbee were Mrs. Frank Bring-hurst Bring-hurst of Salt Lake City, Mrs. Eva Higbee and daughters, Mrs. Arthur Kemp, Mrs. Melville Hirschi Hir-schi and Miss Maree Higbee of St. George. Saturday afternoon Mrs. E. R. Slack entertained at a shower for her daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Sterns. Mrs. A. P. Spilsbury left Friday for Cedar City after spending a week here visiting. F. B. Jackson of Washington spent Thursday and Friday here. Preston Kleinman returned last week from Basic, Nevada where he has been working the past summer. Mrs. George Bringhurst left Friday for Bear Valley where she will visit for two weeks. Ben Bringhurst and R. J. Neagle made a business trip to Salt Lake City Friday. Archie Kleinman returned Saturday Sat-urday from Salt Lake City bringing bring-ing his father, C. M. Kleinman who has been there the past month receiving medical aid. Mrs. J. L. Wallace entered the Iron county hospital Friday for treatment preceding surgery. Monday night Mr. and Mrs. Seymour- Stapeley entertained at a post wedding party honoring their son, LeRoy Stapeley and his bride. The evening was devoted de-voted to a program, dancing and refreshments. Miss Maxine Slack left Friday for Los Angeles for a short vacation. Gordon ' Bringhurst left Tuesday for Teasdale, Utah to get his wife and baby who have been visiting there the past month. Attending the Saturday reception recep-tion in Washington for Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Stapeley were Mr. and Mrs. Seymour Stapeley, Mrs. Woodrow Stapeley and Mrs. Eldora Barnum. Lorin Higbee arrived last Thursday Thu-rsday from Los Angeles and has gone to Cedar City to set up a welding business. The Misses Louise and Doris Cantry left Sunday for Cedar City where Louise will enroll at the B. A. C. and Doris will work in the hospital. Miss Berdeen Beatty left Sunday Sun-day for Cedar City to accept employment. |
