Show Merlin Hardy Dies At Las Vegas Home LAS VEGAS, Nev.- Death came quite suddenly to Merlin Hardy, aged 50, on Sunday, Oct. 4th, as a result of heart trouble. Although Al-though he had been in poor health for several years, it was thought he was much better during the past few months, and he had been doing light work for some time. Funeral services were conducted conduct-ed at 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon after-noon at the L.D.S. chapel in Las Vegas with Bishop Reed (Continued on page eight) Merlin Hardy Death (Continued from first page) Whipple officiating. Speakers were Henry Leavitt of Bunker-1 ville, President Brinley and President Pres-ident Bunker of the Moapa stake. Musical selections were by Mrs. Lucille Earl, Mrs. LaVerna Whipple, Whip-ple, Mrs. Nelda Adams and Mrs. Leo Hardy. Prayers were by Bishop Milton Earl of Overton and Mark Hardy of the Mesquite bishopric. Mr. Hardy was born April 19, 1892 in Bunkerville, a son of the late Heber Hardy and Betsy Leavitt Hardy. He married Vida Earl, who with three sons, Scott, Martin and Richard and his I mother survive him. He is also I survived by the following brothers broth-ers and sisters: Warren and Grant Hardy and Mrs. Harley Adams, all of Bunkerville; Mrs. Ethel Bradshaw of Elgin, Nev.; Mrs. Elmer Graff of Hurricane; and Mrs. Douglas Hall of St. George. |
