Show Kx3r v Hews From Our Washington County People At Service Camps and in the Zones of Occupation By MABEL J ARMS Six Washington county boys left Wednesday noon to enter military service. They were Lyle B. Black, St. George; Rodney Er-win Er-win Leavitt, Gunlock; Max John Stucki, Santa Clara; Lloyd Grant Jones and Joseph Israel Barlow, Enterprise, and Thain J. Scow, Hurricane. Ft. Douglas Announces Discharge of Seven Vets. Discharge of seven Washington county servicemen was officially reported over last week by Fort Douglas. The seven include Sgt. Leon M. Hall, Hurricane; Cpl. James G. Bundy, Mt. Trumbull; T5 Harold A. Anderson, St. George; Cpl. Glendon T. Graff, Santa Clara; Pfc. Cleve W. Cooper, Coop-er, Washington; T4 Gordon F. Terry, Enterprise, and SSgt. Evan J. Theobald, Toquerville. Sgt. Hall is a son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Harvey Hall and wears 6 battle stars for campaigns in France, Belgium and Germany. He has been overseas 18 months and has the presidential unit citation cita-tion with his ETO ribbon. He was a student at the University of Utah when he enlisted in April, 1943. Cpl. Bundy is a son of Mr. and Mrs. James Bundy of Mt. Trumbull Trum-bull and husband of Beatrice Nelson Nel-son who with her two children have lived at St. George during his absence. He was operating his own ranch at Mt. Trumbull before entering military service Dec. 16, 1942. He has three battle stars for campaigns in the Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Germany. Tj5 Anderson arrived in St. George Nov. 8, after 39 months of overseas service. His five battle stars include the campaigns of Northern France, Ardena, Rhine-land, Rhine-land, Central Europe and Nor-mandie. Nor-mandie. With his ETO Ribbon he wears the good conduct and victory medal. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. Albert Anderson of St. George, Miss Florence Stepen-son, Stepen-son, of Nfephi, (who js shortly to teceme hj MdeA visiting this u'ffloir in c;t nanrcp Rpfnrp leav ing for the army he was employ, ed as a carpenter by the California Califor-nia housing board of Los Angeles. Cpl. Glendon T. Graff is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Graff of Santa Clara, and husband of Dorothy Bastian Graff of St. George. At the time of his enlistment enlist-ment he was attending Dixie jun-. jun-. ior college. His 14 months overseas over-seas are recognized on his ETO and American theatre of operations opera-tions ribbons, with which he wears the good conduct and Victory medals and four battle stars for ToqUerville during his 18 months in Italy. With his three battle stars for campaigns in Italy he wears the ETO ribbon, the good conduct and victory medals. He plans to return to his farming at Enterprise. S;Sgt Evan J. Theobald of Toquerville was employed by R. C. Jensen, produce truckers of Salt Lake City before entering the service Jan. 13, 1942. He is unmayried, but his sister, Mrs. Mi'-ired Larson lives in Toquerville. Toquer-ville.
