Show Nearly 1500 High School Students Expected To Attend Music Fete Here Public Invited To Attend The Various Programs And Contests To Be Held Approximately 1500 high school and junior school students are expected to attend the music festival to be held here on Saturday, Satur-day, April 19. This information is released by Wesley Nelson, Publicity Pub-licity chairman for the event. "With contest entries from 10 schools all ready in and the 6 more indicating that they will soon have theirs ready to report, everything points to one of the best musical events that has ever been pre-' pre-' sen ted under the auspices of the school," declares Mr. Nelson. "We who are in charge of the presentation presenta-tion of this event, hope that the citizens of this section will take advantage of this event and attend at-tend at least part of the program," pro-gram," Mr. Nelson continued. Judges announced at this time for the contests are as follows: Dr. Samuel Bleak and Professors Joseph C. Clive, Thomas Giles, Margaret Summerhays, Harry Clark, Orman R. Weight, Roy L. Halverson and Dean A. Peterson. "Business men, civic clubs and other organizations have indicated an 'all out' support for the entire program, and we are anticipating a musical treat that will long be remembered by the participants and audiences who attend," states Mr. Nelson. Schools who are entering participants par-ticipants include Millard, Beaver, Iron, Kane and Washington. Several Sev-eral southern Nevada schools are expected to send contestants. Each year this musical event is providing pro-viding an opportunity for the students stu-dents of these schools to show their ability and be rated. |
