Show Funeral Services Held In Cedar City Chapel for William Emett CEDAR CITY, Utah. Funeral services were conducted in the Cedar First ward chapel5 Friday, Aug. 81th, for William Emett, 67, of Leeds, who died in the Iron county hospital Sunday Aug. 13, from complications following surgery surg-ery for removal of ai tumor on the vocal chords. Bishop Stanley Fuller Ful-ler of Leeds conducted the services. serv-ices. Music numbers were under the direction of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Eager of Leeds and included two vocal solos, "Lay My Head Beneath Be-neath t heRose", and "In the Garden", by Bud Leigh of Cedar City, with Mrs. Clara Hamblin at the organ. Speakers were Andrew Sproul of Washington, 'Charles E. Allen and Bishop Fuller of Leeds. All told of Mr. Emett's work as a farmer, of his love for his family, his patience and courage under long affliction. Burial In Cedar Cemetery Burial was in the Cedar City cemetery. Born in Harrisburg June 10, 1877, he was a son of James and Jane Leigh Emett. He has spent his entire life in that place farming farm-ing raising cattle. On Nov. 23, 1910 he married Maud Dodge of St. George, who, with the following children, survive: sur-vive: Mrs. Fred Schuler, Saloma, Ariz.; Mrs. Bert Wells, Peach Springs, Ariz.; Mrs. Fred Breck-beill, Breck-beill, Tacoma, Wash.; Mrs. Lester Schauff, Puyallup, Wash.; Mrs. Roy Collins, Seattle, Wash.; Miss I Dorothy Emett, Donald, James and Clark Emett, all of Leeds; Leonard Emett, Metalsmith 3c; and DeWayne Emett, Seaman 1c, both of the U. S. Navy in the Central Pacific; three grandchildren, grandchild-ren, and several brothers and sisters. |
